Explaining the Election

No. It’s because the Republican party ceded the field. You could vote for the Republicans and more ridiculous spending, or you could vote against them. ... There wasn’t anybody else running. ... Well there were those 3rd- and 4th-party guys, and Ronald McDonald....

It’s true, McCain tried to convince people he wasn’t like the other Republicans; but nobody pays attention to what candidates say anyway, and particularly not a liberal Republican who says he’s not like the other tax-and-spend Republicans....

That’s what happened. ... And it’s true, by running on nothing and with the valuable assistance of the Impartial Media, Obama avoided alienating as few people as possible. ... And of course Rush Limbaugh also campaigned for him....
