The Stinkiness of Limbaugh

Tue 1/27/2009 1:13 pm. I’ve developed an organized theory on Limbaugh Stinkiness — the continuing degradation of his program into an annoying relentless rant. ... Which is that, unbeknownst to himself he hates to work and wants just to golf for the rest of his life, and so he abuses the audience beginning every Monday. ... The organized scientific part is how long into the week this will last — in the past, only Monday; now, who knows....

This week it clearly went on into Tuesday 1/27/09, where he proclaimed that when Starbucks bought an expensive corporate jet (or maybe a few?) some months ago, while at the time cruelly laying people off, 99% of Limbaugh’s audience undoubtedly thought Starbucks was hideously wrong stupid evil — i.e., we were all socialist morons. ... There seems no other way to interpret this bizarre assertion, which is obviously not true, than as undisguised overt hostility to the audience, no? ... It was the first item, like he really wanted to get to it....

As I ponder this sadness, I realize that, as with the improbable fictions and slanders of the communist media, I have nowhere to complain! ... Except of course here, on my world-famous bloggery. ... (Elsewhere I’ve already incoherently railed at Limbaugh’s contribution to the 2008 election and other sins.)

... More Fan Whining ...

I might add that the “Rush in a Hurry” feature — which you can probably get for free!? — has become preferable to the show! ... I just scanned today’s rendition — I didn’t listen today at all — and it was an interesting and amusing compilation of how he’s keeping pressure on the Republicans and, in general, fighting for the Good! ... It was great! ... Oddly, I can’t recall when he included one of his abuse-the-audience stunts in this summary; he definitely didn’t do it on the occasion that instigated this whine. ... And even better, he’s going on vacation next week. ... Which, I hope, will cheer him up a little....
